Decent game tonight with the Gooners through to the Semi Finals of the Champions League beating Bayern Munchers 2-0.
I still miss BoxNation. Unlike DAZN UK, BoxNation managed to find some people who really had a passion for boxing.
DAZN in for English Football League rights with a bid to show all games getting rid of the 3.00 Saturday Blackout. This could be a real game changer for UK football fans in the lower divisions if successful.
This content is protected This content is protected Interesting as it seems they want to get the EFL rights as part of a DAZN subscription but also add an optional paid extra which gives one access to every game possible. Where DAZN could be successful over other bidders is they offer the EFL worldwide rights (not sure there is much demand worldwide) but they do offer that option for the football league. The sooner the 3pm blackout is lifted the better. It's absurd that still today football fans cannot choose to watch the games they want to watch. I said this months ago but does this sound like a broadcaster struggling looking to exit the UK market?
The missus is out this weekend so I'm going to switch the ol' Dazn back on and watch the AJ fight... looking at the next months schedule is it only the Bam vs Choc fight I'll get for my £20? I was mulling over the £99 deal but I dont think its worth it looking further ahead than a month (Canelo vs Ryder & Taylor fight) and sadly, I dont trust Dazn beyond 3 months. Just checking I'm not missing something obvious.
The DAZN UK Channel on Sky 429 currently showing the live IPL cricket a full 6 secs behind the same live action on Sky Sports Cricket.
We really needed Dazn. Sky and BT are shoddy. I can't contain my joy about this years schedge. Bloomin marvellous for the real borksing fanz!!!
You would get Joshua Franklin, Rodriguez / Akhmadliev, Misfits JMX, Cordina Rakhimov, and Davis Garcia. The month that in May, if you paid £19.99 again, you would get Canelo Ryder, Taylor Cameron, and Lara Wood II.
DAZN / Matchroom's boxing team is not particularly good. As a viewer, you can feel that it is just people who comes in and look after their work and then they go home again. If it had been Sky Sports that had AJ's comeback fight tomorrow night, I would have been happy like a little kid. Now my joy is more subdued. DAZN UK / Matchroom doesn't capture my interest 100%.
I would definitely have signed up for a month at £8 or £9.99 but I don’t wanna pay £20 and there isn’t enough in the schedule for the next few months to make me want to pay £10 a month. I know there are some good fights on in the US but I’m not gonna watch them live so could as easily watch them on YouTube the next day as DAZN and pay nothing. No interest in Cordina or Katie Taylor.
I did a quick comparison between the DAZN iPad app and Sky Sports Cricket on Virgin Media. 16 seconds. Pretty good going for the app, hope they can keep this going.
