There is no money fights for him there. He should of naturally moved up but he’s got the Wood, Lara, Vargas and Conlan fights in this division and until last fight had a belt so had power. if he goes up he has navarette and cordina and has no belt and not much of a negotiation position. Of which navarette would only fight him if he’s and away fighter and a mandatory on a 75/25 split.

I wonder if Eddie Hearn will use Josh Warrington as an opponent ? Not many tickets were sold for his last fight....
I don't get why they don't stick him on one of the June 10th/July 1st cards. He needs a run out, if he waits for the winner of Wood / Lara thats going to be the best part of a year out. Those cards also look like they have done about 2000 tickets between them and need all the help they can get to avoid being almost empty. Would of been Win / Win to keep him active
Same as Wood, bit of an 'end of an era' feel to it in that division from a UK perspective. Maybe 1 or 2 fights for both left
Katie Taylor - sold out Okolie v CBJ - additional seating had to be requested after 15000 sold Smith vs Eubank - as good as sold out The list goes on .....but yeh, cost of living when it suits eh
I hope not as I really like Wood, one of the sports geniune honest nice guys, but sadly I fear you are right. I hope in can put in a perfect performance next week and get the win
Totally different to Warrington in a defence no one knows of. Buatsi, AJ plus 80% of cards say otherwise. Unless it’s a must see event in a region. Taylor homecoming in Dublin, CBS in Bournemouth both haven’t had a major boxing event in decades. Wardley vs Clarke in Ipswich would have done numbers for the same reason.? Smith vs Eubank forget as heavily comped so to was okolies last fight vs Light. Edwards won’t do many in a few weeks. Wood vs Lara is doing solid numbers but won’t sell out. There’s a reason Warren is only running Telford and york hall as he knows the tickets aren’t shifting. It’s not anyones fault except people have less in there pockets. Not rocket science.
So as I said, when it suits apply the argument.....a bit like the validity of VADA recognition by some eh!
