You are right regarding the global rights, but this fight did £64 million in sales in the US alone, he will be making money from the oversees rights aswell don’t forget.

In US PPV provider takes 40% cut. Canelo was doing bigger numbers before he left for DAZN and the guaranteed money was still better than he was making for GGG fight.

he also has no need to sell the fight on DAZN. Not every PPV will be as big as the plant fight. He also take better % as co promoter with Hearn which he isn’t with PBC

40% cut on showtime PPV plus they deduct marketing costs from top line

don’t get me wrong there’s not too much in it either way. He will stay fight be fight for the right fights. I think he moves between the two.

but I know for a fact that PBC are reluctant to throw Charlo etc to him unless he commits long term. PBC don’t like dealing outside of their own platform. They will offer him Benavidez then a Charlo as part of a longer term deal.

I wonder what his deal is with Fury £wise? He might well stick with fury for a couple more & get off? He's getting on & I can't imagine he's skint, he looks to be still enjoying it though so the sky idea doesn't seem far fetched

That will be a DAZN PPV then. Only way they can make it without a loss.

Not necessarily. DAZN's business model in the USA is based on driving subscriptions.

If 800,000 people were prepared to pay $80 for Canelo vs Plant. DAZN will be thinking that 5-10 million people would be willing to pay $20 for Canelo-GGG 3. US population means subscription models can still work there. The price point also pushes out a lot of families.

5-10 million is a bit ambitious mate even if it’s cheap as chips…..

Agree, but the US has scale that the UK doesn't.

If Canelo GGG 3 doesn't do it then DAZN might as well give up.

Am I right in thinking Eddie’s only British male world champion is Okolie?

Surely this is the worst his stable has looked in many years.

Yeah wouldn’t count that. Don’t count Leigh Woods regular belt either.
