Would be good if Sky brought back a regular Friday night boxing slot at 10pm for the main event. Channel 5 must have the lowest boxing budget but frequently deliver very good fights for the viewers. Love Friday night boxing.
I have heard that when Wasserman's deal expires with Channel 5 at the end of the year that they may sign a deal with DAZN for professional cards along with MisFits. DAZN already shows Wasserman shows globally outside of the UK and Ireland including the card yesterday, and Josh Kelly's recent fights have been on DAZN. Would be a wise move as they could collaborate with Matchroom and make more in-house fights. Everyone's a winner apart from the fact that there would be no boxing on terrestrial TV. To be fair though Channel 5's coverage is pretty poor because they are on a tight schedule and can't show the full card.
I just watched the broadcast from Channel 5 and Harlem Eubank looked really good against a tough opponent who kept trying to push him. I am very impressed with Harlem Eubank's footwork and his ability to constantly change angles. It bodes well for the future. If Wasserman plays their cards right then Harlem Eubank might be a future world champion.
I have to be honest and admit that I never really knew if Harlem Eubank was the real thing, but with last night's performance, the doubts have been cleared.
Shame there's not a laughing option at the likes on this site. No chance. 140 is too strong and there's too many top fighters that'll be moving up from lightweight.
He will end up fighting Dalton Smith next year I bet and lose. Let's see though, I wouldn't be surprised if they hold off and make Harlem Eubank vs Conor Benn when Eubank Jr beats Benn.
I'm glad that Wasserman's shows are on a Friday night. Matchroom, Queensberry and Boxxer are on Saturdays and we want to avoid too many events on the same evening. Already fearing the 23rd of December where it looks like 2 huge shows on the same night.
Channel 5's studio with Steve Bunce and George Groves is always entertaining and informative. The commentators do a good job and are better than DAZN UK.
Wasserman Boxing / The Sauerlands have been quite powerful during the last 30 years and they have led many boxers to major title fights. Take a look on Sauerland's track record. They know what they are doing.
