Curious how some see him....I see him as somewhat crude and someone who will get beaten clearly by someone with good boxing ability(EXAMPLE:Wlad)....:rasta
Right mindset once in the ring, but obviously not the right mindset while out of it otherwise he would be coming in at much better fighting shape. Lets see what happens...
dont' really know him, but i wonder if he'll be able to contend with anyone who's in shape. seems like a raw talent and strength fella, with a padded record, but slowly coming up. he should fight bergeron next.
Hard to figure out a guy who is fortunate enough to be in that position... with the potential to make millions, and make history as 1st mexicano HW champ. etc... And yet he can't be bothered to get himself into shape??? It's mind-boggling to me. That's his only job! Most of us have to find a way to squeeze in what ever training we can while still working and taking care of buisness... and 1/2 the guys on this site are probably in better shape than Arreola was in his last fight. (ok maybe 1/4) But you get the point. There's no excuse for it. Maybe the guy's got other issues... who knows?. He looks like a heavy juicer to me, and his rep backs that up. Other than that I'd say he's got the size, the amature background, the basic skills and fighter's mentality to do something in this HW division. Maybe not beat the Klits... but at least make some money and give the fans some exciting fights. But if he won't get serious, and commit himself to the diet and training the way he should he's got no shot. Even a guy with elite skills like James Toney can't pull it off without putting the right work in.
He's a slow plodder, who looks soft, and will be staring at his eyelids the first time he steps into the ring with a guy that can really fight/box with good power, he's over-rated as hell... A junk fighter that has knocked over a bunch of tomato cans..:-(
