In addition to east side I get the rest of my boxing news from ESPN.com. Dan Rafael is their chief writer and analyst. Do you find him to be accurate or a good writer. There are times where I read his stuff and agree and times I disagree. My brother has a subscription to the Ring and I dont. I'll read his summaries and mt brother will tell me what the Ring thought and sometimes it is kinda different. Is he a good writer or do you tend to disagree.
I dont know why but i have a feeling that everytime he writes an article he's eating a sub and probably has a mustard stain on his shirt at the time as well.
I at times feel this way too like the ranks and think he gets biased. Fighters he does not like he gives no credit for. He also calls every close fight a robbery.
He's a solid journalist & researches with due diligence. As for his opinions & possible bias, that subjective relative to the reader's opinions & bias, isn't it?
too biased for my taste, and it sucks that he's the only guy ESPN has on staff to cover the sport :-( I think my general opinion of him though is that he's shaped like a small Volvo
He's a great writer, knows how to hype of fights and gives good insight to up and coming bouts. I don't like how he writes about Floyd but he does seem to know his stuff and he works hard to get the inside information to the boxing public.
He is only biased to people who don't have the same bias. While I don't agree in some of his views I don't think he is more biased than other boxing writers. Overall, good journalist. More credible than most fan sites and rumor mongers. His opinions and insight are not ground breaking or anything shocking. They pretty much are in line with other mainstream boxing analysts.
