To be honest I don't see the point of carrying on he's 35 now and I don't see him being able to compete with the top welters I think he should retire he accomplised some achievements to be proud of.

    Titles Won:
    British, Commonwealth, European
    WBC World Title

    Ring Record:
    W37 - L3 - D2 (22 KO's)

Imo i watched the sparring video Kosaros posted yesterday and i feel he's gone totally flat with the Ingles. I think moving up to 147 won't change his fortunes. He lacks fundamentals and when reflexes go he has nothing to rely on...plus Bradley drew up the blueprint on how to beat him..so now he needs to change and at 35 that's going to be a very very hard task.

As Mandana said the move up isn't the big problem its the reflexes. 147 might do something for him but not a lot in my opinion

The weight excuse is a golden oldie. It's just that - an excuse. It's created so he can try and kid people until supporting his next campaign which will see him try to earn a little bit more money and possibly get a title shot en route to retirement.

Maybe with his power he could crack a few heads.

Witter has been and always will be incredibly sloppy as a fighter.

Witter should retire, his best days are behind him and he is only going to get hit harder and more often now.

He should retire, Moving to welterweight is going to do no good for him really.
He's had a decent career, why ruin it by going on past your best.

Probably because he feels he hasn't had a decent career. I imagine he hasn't made the money he'd like to, isn't as popular as he'd like to be and won't go down as anything but the guy that chased Hatton's shadow.

Witter has achieved everything he could've wished for... He hasn't had any major pay days but he must have had some decent ones. He should retire now while hes still in good health!!! I would of loved to see him & Hatton fight in there primes but now its less appealing.. I can't see him getting past domestic level as a welterweight... They'll be too big & strong for witter!! We have alot of good young welters coming through so we'll have 2c how he gets on..

I've seen this guy fight he's very strong with good power... it'd be a tough fight for Brook let alone witter!!! Witter vs O'Donnell would be a good match.. We could really judge how good O'donnell is & how shot witter is!!! What about Witter vs Matthew Hatton??

Witter should call it a day. He was unlucky he never got the fight that he wanted in Hatton. I think he can still fight to a high standard but he wont get another title shot. I cant see Warren knocking his door down for a fight with Khan and he is too good for British and European level. A move up can be a good thing for some fighters but for Witter he will be found out by most of the top level fighters so it is up to him.
