I just watched this bout in full and I have to say this was one of the best tatical bouts I've seen.First 4 rounds Young outboxed Norton.Middle rounds Norton swept but latter rounds Young begin to counterpunch.
I scored it a draw or a win by Young by 1 point-some rounds really could have been judged even and to be honest i couldn't make up my mind.Honestly this fight should have been a draw.

Yeah, a draw would have been a fair verdict...but the powers that be back then had an agenda, and Norton, they figured to be less negative than Young..and thus could fit that agenda.

Close fight which I just watched a few days ago that I felt could've been a draw too. Both fighters gave Ali hell.

Some fights feel different live. Power and agresion are easier to see than quick counters. I wonder how the press scored this one?

Young stuns Norton several times, which is surprising.

Young looked very impressive early but let Norton outwork him in several of the middle rounds and then staged a comeback in the late rounds. Difficult fight to score, you could give it to either fighter based on whether you like Norton's aggression or Young's cleaner punching.

I thought it was a very good technical fight if a bit boring and that Norton won a narrow decision ... he just seemed to have a bit more and was more effective.

Poor Young. All the skill, none of the intangibles and almost no luck.

Good scorecard except you have the third round both scored for Young and also a draw. That must be a mistake.

Yeah even round for mine... giving Norton a narrow win on my card.

Wasn't much in the bout though as I remember it though (quite a few close rounds).
