and of course the Immortal Sung Kil Moon. I have an amateur fight of his saved somewhere (checked on YT and couldn't find it) of him beating the hell out of Paul Banke who turned pro at 126 and had a very goos trilogy with Zaragoza. Moon massacred him.

Timurziev is the only guy to have dropped Cammarelle which was at the 2006 Euros, i have a HL of the fight with the KD but not the full thing. Think about that, Roberto has faced Povetkin, Romanchuk, Zuyev, Medzhidov, Joshua, Price, Pulev, Glazkov, Zhilei, Rozhnov, Yoka.

Ya Poyatsyka beating Romanchuk was mind blowing and while he got stuck at #2 behind Usyk he never captured that level again even when he did get opportunities. Did decent in WSB but nothing exceptional.

Speaking of Romanchuk, absolute killer, he definitely deserves mention as an excellent puncher with both hands and one of my favourite boxers ever, period. Went 2-1 against Solis, went to war with and bludgeoned Luis Ortiz, and stepped up to SHW on short notice at the 2005 Worlds when Timurziev had a brain tumor and beat Cammarelle in a tremendous slugfest and managed to rock Roberto once or twice.

RIP to Romanchuk and Timurziev both died way too young.

Believe it or not, i thought about putting Sung Kil Moon, but i forgot him at the end, the same with Wilfredo Gomez.
Moon was the guy that stopped USA from having a medal in all the weight classes in the 1984 olympics when he beat Robert Shannon, it is considered the best Olympic fight of all time and Shannon said that he was used to be the stronger guy, he couldn't believe that Moon was so strong.
Romanchuk was quality, i have some fights of him including a highlight reel ko in the world cup.
I remember last year reading that both of them died, it looked so weird to me and they were so young and with so much potential.

Felix Betancourt was a 63.5/67 Kg He was born in Santiago de Cuba, but I'm pretty sure he grew up in Poey, Havana. The same town of the Bathelemy brothers. A very tough neighborhood. I remember him from the Barrio, a very humble person. He was a monster puncher and naturally strong. His main rival back in Cuba was Andres Molina a very technical fighter and Enrique Regüeiferos. Later around Correa came into the picture too. He had like 90 Ko in 120 fights, more than half of those KO in the first round. But the TS is right, that's all he had which was very impressive. RIP paisano. Angel Milian was a huge puncher too.

Great to know someone that knows about Cuban boxing, so many possible greats were forgotten in the island (and some actual greats were forgotten as well).
