No hardly the case Fleaman,i remember how dominant Chiquita was when he first came around. He was even ranked the best puncher PFP by Ring magazine back then. He was thought of as unbeatable until he ran into Pascua (which i saw on Tv not on You tube like you). I dont need Boxing records to know boxing ive been a fan long enough to know about the fighters that i talk about. I saw most of these guys fight back then,although not as much as i liked because They rarely showed the Asian fighters except on SPanish telecast against other hispanic fighters. I saw Changs fight with Gonzalez on telemundo or some Mexican station and he got whupped. I know he was a little Past it but he was still good and Chiquita was in his prime then.
As for all the Hispanic little guys well ive seen all of their major fights.Many Live or on TV so you should know who your talking too before assuming that i get my info from Boxing records.
You always tell people that starting to wonder why you always bring up Boxing records is that where you got most of your knowledge?

To be honest with you, I've come across a lot of posters like you. There's no point debating with you, I've figured you out. I know how I'm going to view your posts and I know you're gonna' hate me for seeing right through your bull****.

You're not a bad guy, but I see little worth in your posts. I do not see why you keep bringing up how 'we watch them on youtube' and that somehow devalues our viewing of the sport?

Watching it live obviously hasn't helped you form much of a decent opinion, so I can hardly see how we are getting criticised by you.

To be honest he'd be the best fighter Lopez ever faced from an AESTHETIC point of view. I really like his style, throws shots well, nice jab, mixes his shots well and is patient with it. I know he has only really beaten Condes but damn he looks impressive. Have no idea whether he can take a whack not

I think Lopez stops him to be honest. But who knows? The division is about as strong as it's ever going to be at the moment, and there are some good fights at light-fly. Joyi might just live up to my hopes yet:good

I honestly think he'll beat Gonzalez, who just isn't fighting enough for my liking as a young Champ. Apparently struggling with weight? I think he's gone off the radar a bit, I hope he surprises me; I'm a real big fan.

Personally I think they'd both beat Viloria up at Light-Fly. As will Calderon:deal

 

:nonoOne mans stock really benefits from that fight and it's not Zapata IMO. 19 year old Chang looks very impressive. zapata does at times, but I had Chang the definite winner.

You think that anyone whos been a fan longer than you or has watched fights before you,is somehow a bull shitter:roll:
There are a lot of people with more knowledge than you and have met fighters,been involved in Boxing,attended fights etc etc. and you find it hard to hear stories or experience from these people
At least as a young fan i used to soak up this knowledge from people that have been involved in boxing before i was around. In fact i still do. I enjoy hearing from someone with more knowledge,than me But you my friend arent one of them.:nono

I don't think you're a bullshitter, I've just seen you pull people up on here for 'watching it on youtube' and saying how you were 'there at the time' and how that somehow validates your pitiful arguments.

I've met quite a few boxers myself, and been around a pro gym. Doesn't make me better than you. Just like it doesn't impress me when you use that as 'proof' of your higher Boxing IQ.

 

Chang was a Benitez-like Phenom that peaked and burned out early as far as age goes, though a lot of lighter weight fighters do peak earlier than guys above feather.

He only came back out of retirement because he had no money and was practically living on the streets, and though still a decent fighter, his lifestyle had badly eroded most of the things that made him special.

Zapata and Chitalada were similar, it took them only a few years to hit their peak, though sot did have the extensive Muay Thai experience.The guy Zapata won his first title from-Nakajima- was a very nice boxer-puncher and top prospect at the time himself.

Due to his extroverted/partying lifestyle outside opf the ring, I think it's clear it had imparted on his free-wheeling, constantly aggressive style (although I really like it when he acts faux-cocky on the outside, switch-hitting, flicking out the jab and mixing it up with shots to head and body) and when he came back he seemed to visibly gas, instead putting emphasis down onto single shots to get his opponent out of there rather than relying on his Blizzard tactics.

The Ohashi fight is an obvious example of this. His combos are thrown with thudding accuracy, as he's already been hurt a few times. He knows he doesn't have it in him to keep the pressure on, so he throws some nice shots from mid-range, making sure they count.

Addie; The first Zapata fight is not on youtube. He's a similar age by the 2nd fight (maybe 20) but I'm willing to take Sweet Peas word that Zapata was not at his physical best (i.e was at his lowest ebb with the weight) hence the blowout.

When Chang 'came back' he was only about 25. As Mantequilla said he was 'Benitez-esque'(only the offensive version):good
