I think Bellew has more power than Jefferies to be honest. There are not many areas Jefferies is better in based on his performances as a pro but as a matchup its quite appealing with the styles and Bellew being unbeaten and Jefferies a bronze medalist. I don't see much else at domestic level for Bellew.

:lol: Yeah Tony's hilarious. He loves it, vicious guy...that's what you need to be when your a puncher. Tbh i can sense the fear just watching Jaffa fight. Bellew will smell it and end his career and i mean end it! because there be no way back for Jaffa after. He'd get blitzed and Jaffa would jack it in IMO.

Do you think Jeffries would be up for it though?

Yeah, there's really no good rival at about his own level. Cleverly is too far ahead (according to many) and Jeffries is well behind him.

Jeffries punch could trouble Bellew though and vice versa.

It would be a bad fight for Jaffa to take and I can't see him taking it.

That was a great interview because I got the feeling that Bellew would have really enjoyed splattering Ovill to the canvas in a heap. lol, ruthless man. But you have to be to get to the top.

Technically it would be a fight where Jeffries wouldn't be able to keep any distance between him and Bomber so Bomber could simply walk in and start throwing bombs. Jeffries would either have to respond in kind or try to move, but if he tries to keep it at range, Bomber will detonate one on his high held chin. Jeffries would have no alternative but to go to war.

I think Bomber might kill him to be honest.

I like Jeffries, he looked **** in the first round tho and up until the cut, he looks to right hand happy and wanted to finish the guy off but kept getting tied up. I would like to have seen him using a fast Jab to keep him at bay.

I think Jeffries has put himself under alot of pressure and he is too deperate to do well as everything looks forced.

Tbh i actually would fear for Jaffa in that fight like you..the ending is scaring me just thinking of it. Look at him tonight, say he thought Tony in Feb......that still wouldn't be enough time for him to understand range and how to use the jab and work off it. I'd love to know what he was being taught....because he's an Olympic medalist who doesn't even understand basic things like jabbing and how to maintain distance against a round doughboy in Tolan.

to be fair to Jeffries, if he learned to RELAX and CALM DOWN in the ring, and use his jab and range to his advantage, he could be decent. He is rushing forward too much. Needs to learn to take his time. To be honest, Carl Froch vs Abraham should be a good role model style for him. Use a good, snappy jab and calmly throw in the right hand/hooks etc. That's what Brook should be teaching him.

I'm not sure he can develop that calmness in the ring though. He does seem fragile and a hard c*nt like Bomber coming at him 100mph isn't going to help.

He is absolutely woeful. A true example of what Sunderland is.

Yeah i agree nothing natural or relaxed. No doubt Brooks wants that from him. He has already changed the thought process of Jaffa. Notice he come out tonight feinted and then worked jab. But he works jab when guys miles away or he just throwing it for sake of it. I mean Tolan at one point just strolled up to Jefferies chest.

I think he needs good sparring, I'm not sure who he has been sparring but he needs top class sparring and plenty of time with Brooks. He needs to milk that mans knowledge and wisdom otherwise he's gonna get Bellew'd by a journeyman....cos if i was a journeyman (decent one) i'd fancy my chances.

I'll reserve judgement until hes at least settled in his new trainng environment. Fighting in front of his home fans has actually harmed his progress and confidence.

I find it really hard to watch jeffries. For being an olympic bronze medallist i get so disappointed he looks so tense and clumsy hardly ever uses feints to trya nd draw a lead, he did it once tonight and was his best piece of work apart from the ko. Also looks like his jab could be a good weapon but falls in with it and struggles up close.

He looks heavy handed would be good to see him use a good 1-2 to start with, not look like he's forcing the right hand all the time and he should land it more.

I really hope he improves as seems like top lad may take time but hopefully comes good.

I'd give Jeffries 12 months to see how he can improve. Don't write him off just yet
