After watching a video interview with Froch today where he stated that his next fight will be against Bute or Hopkins, I was thinking, has he already fought as many world class fighters in their prime in his last two fights as Calzaghe did in last twenty plus fights?

He has started pretty well.....His career is still a long way off Joe's at the moment.

He doesn't have Calzaghe's resume yet and probably never will considering the competition at SMW is better than ever but he certainly has more balls...

**** im gonna get mad hate for saying that but still

I doubt he reaches Calzaghe's level.

Pascal more of a threat to Froch than Lacy was to Calzaghe.

    Lacy looked limited against Sheika.

And not to leave out getting so frustrated against Grant.

Froch will probably fight the best but at some point he will lose and therefore Joe will remembered as a greater fighter which imo is unfair.

Pascal in his position when fighting froch was not on the level as lacy fighting calzaghe

Limited as lacy was, he was still a champ who many thought would destroy calzaghe as well as being regarded as a good talent with potential.....which got destroyed by slappy

I completely agree, mate. If- and still an if at this stage- Froch does manage to unify the SM division within a few fights, as he's said he'd like to do, since winning his first world title, the debate will really hotten up. Still a long way to go though.

Froch... as much as i like his attitude towards the big fights, is not on Calzaghes level. Calzaghe would wup Froch, even now, if he comes back. Froch is on borrowed time in my humble opinion.

anyone who classes froch above jc hasn't seen any of the 2 fight. JC beats him 99 out of 100. not even close.

Joe is way better than Froch but Froch has way more courage.

good pt. 68 is thick with comp right now. If he can fight his way above the heap he can surpass the great in Joe C. Calz has a great win rez against good yet limited opposition and has-beens. I think Kess, Lacy, Reid, Bika, and Bhop are his best wins. I thought he lost narrowly to Reid. Joe just ate too many rt hands. Bhop was a very good win, but could of been better if Hopkins was younger. At LHW was just $$$ fights. Beating RJJ by decision after Roy was stopped by Tarver and KTFO by THE ROAD WARRIOR, Glen Johnson, shouldn't add to his stacked 68 legacy. I think Joe would of been within top 3 if he would of emerged in this era of SMW's.
