No. Froch should be derided and mocked for his outrageously poor resume to date. This Froch madness must end. The guy is a pretty poor boxer. He has one good win. He seems to be keen on fighting big fights from here on in which is a credit to him. Calzaghe beat Eubank, Hopkins, Jones, Brewer, Mitchell, Viet, Kessler, Reid, Lacy, Bika, these are all good wins.

They are some decent wins but not in the context of the jeabordy of his career. What had Joe done at the stage Froch is at? Nothing. Froch has already fought in the states against a dangerous opponent!

Head to head Calzaghe would stop Froch. The man has the worst defense of any world titlist. Joe would ***** slap Carl into submission in about 10 rounds, either that or McKracken would take pity on Froch and call a hault to it.

At he end of the day, Froch is what he is; a gutsy and confident fighter with only a modicum of skill. At 168 I'd pick Bute, Kessler, Andrade and Bika to beat him. The top two guys at 160 would beat him senseless, and if he fights BHop, Old Man River will end up 2-0 against guys who beat Taylor. Furthermore, he owes Jermain a rematch, and a JT win would not surprise me.

Froch's career will be vastly inferior to Calzaghe's.

Calzaghe wouldn't stop anyone - and not Froch.

Froch would do a bit better than Bika did against Joe, but I would favor Joe to win. Not by stoppage though - not at all.

You might want to stop 'thinking' and instead indulge in less challenging pursuits...

I've got to cut back on the Lagavulin !

I've had nearly a bottle this evening so far, and while its effects are as pleasant as always, I find myself in complete agreement with everything you've said in a lengthy post !

2008 Joe wins a wide UD.

2002 Joe stops Froch in 3 or less.

2008 Joe was a far superior Joe than the 2002 version. 2008 version would have won a wide UD against Robin Reid for example. OR are you trying to tell us that Reid ever was a better fighter than the Hopkins who beat Pavlik?

Joe fought with his heart and in many ways he fought like an amateur in 2002. In 2008 he fought like a very clever pro.

i would rather see froch vs kessler....thats froch's opportunity to get calazaghe if joe comes out of retirement.... IF froch were to win....kessler is a little ***** right now, i blame him and not his promoter for fighting bums imo.
