Don't fall into the trap of thinking any supplement can magically give you better results, because the ones that do are usually illegal. While carnitine has often been used as a weight loss supplement all reputable clinical trials have shown it has no effect whatsoever. I went through a phase where I was looking for some magic supplement to help me. All I can say is that after a lot of research a good multivitamin, and omega 3 fish oil supplements is all that I take now as I have a good diet. The only other supplement I considered taking was CLA which has shown in clinical trials to reduce body fat. But you have to use it for a month before it starts to work and you have to take high dosages so it's quite expensive. There is also some possibility it increases insulin sensitivity so I avoided it as I would prefer to not have diabetes. Better to just have a clean healthy diet and plenty of rest.
This is his 3rd thread on supplements. He's been told to sort his awful diet and forget about supplements by myself and multiple other people, yet he ignores that advice on his quest to find the ultimate supplement. It gets annoying taking time to give advice and it's just completely ignored, particularly when it's on the same subject...

As far as carnitine is concerned, there's only one way to burn fat without actually using the energy and that's by dousing yourself in petrol and setting yourself on fire.
Again thanks for the advice, i just get told alot of things and some times they sound interesting and because i am new to actually boxing i thought i would ask you guys that box alot and for many years. Thanks for all your previous help
Nobody has a problem giving advice, it's just you don't seem to be listening when you start new threads about different supplements every day. Nutrition is extremely important in any sport. Once you have a decent diet down then you may want to look into supplements, but only if it's required i.e. you can't eat enough meat through the day so you have protein shakes. The best thing you can do is forget supplements even exist and read everything you can on nutrition. And ignore the people at your gym, if they want to waste money on supplements in their training because some randomer told them to take xxxxx supplement then let them, they have no clue what they're talking about.
Poultry, beef, fish, eggs, dairy, vegetables, fruits, grains, seeds, nuts, legumes ... that's the sort of thing you want to be eating. Natural foods. Read this thread for an idea on what to eat and how to improve your diet. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=161999 When your diet is actually perfect you can think about fancy expensive supplements, but by that time your energy levels will be out of the scales I guarantee you that.
Sounds like you got advice in the threads you posted it just wasn't what you wanted to hear. What did you want ? Here is magic pill X it will solve all your training needs
A supplement is just that. A supplement. If you eat a good diet the only supplements you should need are a handful of anti-oxidants and a good multi vitamin.
