Anyone happen to see the fight? King can have exciting moments, so this might not have been as bad a fight as some think.:think http://www.fightnews.com/?p=37848
Yeah, he comes to fight and has pulled off a couple of nice upsets in the past. I too was kinda hoping he would pull this one off as well, but it just wasn't meant to be...
I don't understand why guys like him don't find a good trainer, get in shape and go for it. He obvioulsy fights with heart and has a punch. He should give himself a chance at being somebody.
I too have always wondered why they don't do that. It seems that if you are going to be in such a physically taxing career, you might as well give yourself the best possible chances of success.
i dont know who this king guy is but if the article is correct and he has 18 losses this win is not impressive by oquendo :hat
Tournament of failures: MCS style tourney with Fres Oquendo, Luan Krasniqi, Dominick Guinn, and Audley Harrison. Who wins?
Beating King isn't so special but getting the stoppage is. King seemed tailor-made style wise for Oquendo but I still thought he'd go for the wide points. I guess Fres must've been able to turn the heat up a bit more than I expected.
yeah that's what he said on the boxing talk show they have on this website. that's no fight. that's an execution. it's sad because he sounds like a decent guy on that show.
