Mahir Oral will be fighting Fulgencio Zuniga in a IBF Eliminator for a shot at Arthur Abraham. Who do guys think wins this fight? I hope it's Zuniga and he gets a shot at Abraham on HBO, style wise it would be a all out action fight:good
I don't get this. Zuniga has been campaigning at 168 for quite a while now. Why would they give him an eliminator at 160? And what has Oral ever done to deserve an eliminator?
Abraham should really be looking for a bigger title shot or at least bigger pay day than the winner of this eliminator.... Arbahams last 3 wins read Demers, Gevor, Elcock....decent.... but at 27 Arthur needs to aim to add another notch to his belt by beating an A-class fighter.....no, i dont count the Miranda fight as a victory over an A-class fighter.
Mahir Oral is 21-1-2 with 8 ko's and is ranked high by IBF. Here's his record http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=14391&cat=boxer
Zuniga is better than Elcock or Demers. Also, Zuniga has a pretty good chin, unlike those folks. If Abraham can KO Zuniga cold, that would be a great indication of his power, since Pavlik was unable to do so (he won the fight on cuts). Zuniga is very similar to his countryman Berrio, but with a little less power and a much better chin. How many A-class fighters are available in MW though? Pavlik, Winky, who else? Sturm is really B level. Taylor moved up. Winky ain't going to fight anyone for the amount of money Abraham would be able to offer him. Pavlik might want to unify eventually, but it's at his discretion. There really isn't much by way of good opponents for Abraham. Best fights out there for him are probably Sturm and Joval, which is pretty sad.
