Very possible. Would be hard though, both of these guys have difficult styles there.

I don't know how much you can make of the loss to Muniz in the first bout, if the comments chandler makes in interviews and articles about this affair are accurate.

I know I have a little (OK a huge) PHILLY bias, and it might come through!

"Joltin" Jeff Chandler probably gets a little overrated by me, and underrated by alot. I personally like his chances against any bantam H2H, and think his size and accuracy present a unique problem for any...My favorite fantasy match's for him are Pintor who I wished he would have fought...and Panama Al Brown

In his match with brother Gabby, Chandler talked respectfully about a guy that hurt him to the body more than he ever experienced. He said wistfully in later years said that he was the only man he would come out of retirement to fight because it was such a pleasure and challange to fight him. I would personally think a little of how that fight went down is some of what would be evidenced here. I am also reminded of oscar's SD loss to similar sized Junior Jones (I know that was Super Bantam) and some of the difficulty he had with the reach and closing the distance in that fight.

I would still take Jeff in this match although I think it would be closer than the fight with Gabby bordering on a tight cards win possibly a draw or SD/MD on the cards...But I will still lean towards Jeff

Michael Nunn always reminded me of Chandler in a way, because in some fights he was outstanding and looked like a great fighter, but in others, like in the Muniz fight he would fritter away rounds being lazy and content to coast against clearly inferior opponents.

Once again he took the Muniz fight on only 2 days notice, and had not been preparing to fight any fighter let alone one of Muniz's caliber. I think that serves as a decent explanation for his performance. I am not sure (and I have quite abit of his footage) there is another lackluster performance like that with the exception of his final fight(s).

I'd take Chandler at his best to outbox Canizales.
