Salido of course is coming off of a loss to Gamboa, but let's not forget the trouble Rogers Mtagwa gave Lopez. Salido, like Mtagwa, is a rough and tough fighter.

    What do you think?

There are certainly parrellels between the two fights, and Salido is vastly, vastly better than Mtagwa. The guy is absurdly strong for a featherweight even if he his relatively limited in other departments. And its not like Juanma has radically improved his defense over his last few fights.

I know this was posted yesterday, but....

Salido knocked Mtagwa out in 5.

Salido could endure Gamboas assault over 12 rounds whereas Mtagwa was destroyed in 2.

Salido, obviously, is better than Mtagwa, and all evidence prior to yesterday showed that.

Even though Salido just scored the biggest win of his career.. He actually is past his priem.. Salido is still tough, strong, experienced and has heart along with experience but he his speed has slipped big time... He actually was pretty fluid and threw better combinations. A prime Salido would have got Lopez out quicker,, and might have even beat gamboa... Salido gave Gamboa a tough fight, but the speed advantage was big and that made a world of difference. Now even a prime Salido wasnt close to as fast as Gamboa... But im positive he would have been able to finish up on more of his combos .. He would have been able to take advantage of the times he had Gamboa in trouible. Hes been overlooked and underestimated his whole career.. First time i saw Salido fight he was like 14-7-1 and brought in as a tune up/steppingstone for talented undefeated Contender Lamont pearson... I was amazed at how impresssive this guy with the shtity record looked... And this fight was at LW Saldio dropped and beat up Pearson who was not hype he really was good.. Been a fan of Salido since.then, I cant recall the last time i saw a 14-7 fighter with world class skills.
