I'm afraid for JuanMa's health at this point. He takes way too many punches. And a lot of them are bombs.

Are you serious?:? Lopez wasn't in any shape to continue.... He would've gotten really hurt if the ref let Lopez fight.

I'm very happy for Salido, but what now for Lopez? I can't help but feel he's reached a ceiling in terms of his abilities. He did show some improvement, but it just wasn't enough. Salido has an answer for everything he had, but I can see Lopez beating a lot of other good fighters.

Translator missed something: "He has everything a champion should as well"-Salido about Lopez.

There was nothing that Lopez could have done tonight to win. Salido just had/has his number. Awesome/brutal knockdown at the end there.

It's amazing how careers come and go so fast sometimes. JuanMa will fight on, but I remember when he was the up and coming fighter who was knocking everything out. Now he's already considered done by a lot of fans. Amazing.

Siri Salido says the 9th round was punch for punch, with both competing hard.

He says he wasn't sure Lopez was done once he knocked him down. He knew he was a warrior and that there could still be three more rounds on the table.

He says this was another Mexico vs. Puerto Rico classic.

He'd give Lopez a third chance.

    What a class act.
