Orlando Salido vs. Terdsak Jandaeng & Javier Mendoza vs. Ramón García Hirales RBR

Mendoza has "Tijuana" above his ass, if anyone is confused and not bilingual enough to keep track here (since both are southpaws, and the "Garcia" lettering on García Hirales' trunks is very light)

 

Round 1

Mendoza is leading with right jabs and hammering down with the left. García Hirales shuffles around him throwing sneaky right hooks and pairing them up with left crosses shot up from a crouch. Head clash, Mendoza complaining. García Hirales ducks forward, covered up as Mendoza swats down at him, biding his time and then slapping in a right hook on the go.

10-9 García Hirales, close, Mendoza swinging for the fences but mostly whiffing.

 

Round 2

García Hirales is staying in close where Mendoza is less effective setting up work off his long right jab. Mendoza is reduced to swatting down at García Hirales as he bows right in front of him, curving his body to either side in sinuous patterns and working the body lightly. Right hooks by García Hirales standing up and moving out of the pocket. Mendoza is mostly just hitting the back of García Hirales, but throwing hard.

Round 3

García Hirales is jumping in with right hooks, dropping low with his face down by Mendoza's waist and staying under the path of return fire, and darting out before coming upright. Mendoza is swinging wildly at him as García Hirales worms his way in and out hitting the body or landing surprise right hooks up top from a crouch. García Hirales is backed up by a couple of insistent right jabs on the chin as Mendoza beelines in on him while he is circling on his toes flashing out hooks and looping lefts. WILD uppercut and overhand flurry by García Hirales, making Mendoza now duck and grab.

The first two were close, I could actually see it being 29-28 Mendoza at this point, but he was hurt there at the end of 3.

 

Round 4

García Hirales is taking quick steps to his right, then leading with right hooks as he gets Mendoza turning. Low blow by a frustrated Mendoza. Hard double right jabs by Mendoza, hoping to catch García Hirales at just the right moment as he constantly switches elevation, ducking and rising as he moves. Mendoza steps in and tries uppercuts on the body instead, hacking down at García Hirales' back when he doubles over from the uppers. Left hand on the gob by Mendoza, backing García Hirales up. García Hirales cut from a hard jab over his right eye.

That cut might change everything. Not bad - just located badly.

 

Round 5

Mendoza starts to pump the right jab into García Hirales' face and slam him with left uppercuts on the body. García Hirales is slouching over, looking to flop into Mendoza and clinch but shaken off. Mendoza harries García Hirales with a string of pesky jabs in his face and keeps hitting the body and bucking off clinch attempts. Wild overhands thrown blindly up by García Hirales as he stays folded in the middle, looking to dive in and hold and peppering Mendoza's belt line with light shots. BIG left and right hook just above the hip bones from Mendoza. García Hirales is hurt from all the body shots. García Hirales tries holding, fails, and falls while Mendoza hooks into his body again. García Hirales is up and running. Saved by the bell.
