I dunno may be you are right but when I watched it his defense didn't seem all that good and at times Ramirez seemed to even have the upper hand. I know he was a very tough guy for a first bout. But Salido is even tougher and has a great deal of experience. It's gonna be a very difficult fight for Loma IMAO and I think it would've been a lot easier after another 4-5 fights around Ramirez level. Also lets say Ramirez prepared him well for a pressure fighter like Salido. When he gets the title he will have to defend it against a variety of styles that he hasn't necessary seen in the amateurs.

Yeah... Jumped back and slammed into the cornerpost - he recovered in an instant but I woulda expected him to know exactly where he was in the ring. I'm not quite sure how he got the cut, but it's always a risk for an offensively minded fighter who's willing to go in close - there were a couple of little clashes.

I've not watched enough of Ramirez to be sure, but it seems to me he had a deliberate strategy of trying to overwhelm Loma with activity - knowing that his inexperience as a pro might make him vulnerable and lead to a mistake. My feeling is that Ramirez woulda struggled to maintain that pace over 10 rounds anyway and having failed to win early woulda looked worse and worse.

Also, it's worth noting that Loma said post Ramirez fight that he intentionally let it go a few rounds before finishing him so he could get some pro experience. He said he could have stopped him in the first round had he followed up the body shot knockdown aggressively, but coming into the fight, everyone thought it was best to let the fight go a few rounds for experience so he let him recover. He also had to back off some after that to make sure he didn't knock him out too quickly. Anyway, if that's true, we may see a better Loma in his fight with Salido.

War Salido, i can't call this with any certainty which makes it so interesting. Loma either looks sensational and dominates or my boy Salido wears Loma down and forces a stoppage. Can't wait.

With a bit of guessing and hope, Loma - mid rounds stoppage.

Yep ha, Loma for sure is special (as an AM at least) but he hasn't been in with a tough balls to the walls nut job like Salido before. As i said i honestly can't call it. I;d be super impressed if Loma dominates though.
