If Salido was a convicted felon in Mexico, how was he able to come to America?

 

For me, and I know I will come off as a hater here, it shows what determination but also peds can do for guys with mediocre talent.
Nobody ever mentions it, but he suddenly transitioned from a journeyman to suddenly beating prospects and even former champions, had a great run against quality opposition, and then got caught on steroids.
And fought on like nothing ever happened.

Edit: just read that it wasn't a negative b-sample but a self initioned follow-up test at another lab, which came back negative.
Which means close to nothing of course.

It wasn't the roids man. Salido was always a blue chip type athlete. He just never had good management, trainers, or promotion. He could have been a big time star if the right people had gotten to him early. Instead, he had to come up hard and learn on the job, so he takes a dozen losses and then nobody ever takes him seriously again.

 

He looked like a god in there with Lopez. Physically he had all the tools. If Nacho took him under his wing he might have been pound for pound material.
