I hope victor brings it to floyd and fights smart! I think it will be a competitive fight If victor works the body and doesnt get too wreckless!

Victor has to get reckless. You are not gonna go in and outbox Floyd Mayweather. That is the mistake of ODLH, Hatton, JMM and Shane or should I say they know how to box. The way to beat Floyd at WW is with prime power.
Continuous pressure and risks as he does not have the power to stop ortiz.
Ortiz fights like that naturally. like you said any little cute moves like working the body will make it even easier for him to get the job done.
If they try and reinvent the wheel with Victor and gameplan to jab that could be a mistake.

it would be well served to save something for the second half of the fight s a backup plan as floyd studies early and usually takes over. If Victor can show something different if they get into the second half it could be major advantage to make Floyd have to start over and slow him down tremendously.
Usually his opponents show their entire hand in the first 3 rounds and Floyd knows what to look for and will alternate rhythms between potshots and harder counters. Saving a little can keep Floyd from doing what he does best.

Keeping Floyd extra cautious and gunshy is key.

I think it speaks volumes for Floyd's resume if we're saying Ortiz might be the best welterweight he's ever faced in the six years he fought there lol

I dunno...Ortiz is better than Marquez. Wouldn't be so quick to rate him over Hatton. They both won titles in flawed performances, but Hatton atleast had the solid 140 credentials to back up his ability and wasn't just being hyped off of one win.

You make alot of valid points.. Im too sleepy to respond properly but I will say this, the first 3 rounds of the fight will be key for victor to pull of this major upset!

If victor cant get to floyd in the first 3 rounds then its curtains. I think floyd will most likely win by UD! :verysad

Dude, seriously. Victor won't knock anyone down. Victor will be lucky to land a single flush shot in the entire fight. It's going to be one way traffic, and why you can't see that is absolutely baffling. Andre Berto? Really? Really?

That being said, I hope I'm wrong.

if Floyd fights the way he did 12 months ago Victor has no shot.
