It's weird to think that prior to the Maidana fight Ortiz was tipped to be the next big superstar, just like Zab prior to Tzsyu. And in the same way as Kostya took something from Zab that night, Maidana took something from Ortiz. Ortiz is talented, no doubt, but from the maidana fight on his career will be full of decent runs against B/A- level fighters and littered with embarrasing blow-outs every time he steps in with someone class.
