Just read on the scene where boxing's at that Vicous Victor Ortiz has 'beat up' Oscar in sparring. Thoughts?:huh
Of that girl in his AV, I agree. As per the story, I don't believe a word of it even though Ortiz is a great talent.
Sparring is for conditioning and trying out various strategy, not necessarily to look good , or beat up sparring partners. Ali would get smacked around in training quite a bit. It's not unusual for a fighter to get hit a lot in training.
And 9/10, the guy whose bustin the other guy up is usually going at it 110% where as the favorite is just taking his time and trying to work something out. I remember hearing about how Zab would give Pernell Whitaker problems in sparring...it's just not that accurate 9/10.
Oscar's camp is intentionally making leaks to help build-up the perception that Pacquiao stands an outstanding chance of winning in an effort to help make his (Oscar's) forthcoming victory look more impressive than it actually will be. :smoke
exactly!!!!!! and don't be surprised if oscar "gets sick" a few days before the fight so they could say dlg defeated pac even though he was not 100%
Funnily enough that's what i thought when i read it, it even goes on to say how Pacman handled Ortiz in sparring, ha ha.
another thing, the dela hoya camp may just be doing this to promote ortiz as a great fighter and perhaps get him big matches at 140. two birds with one stone for GBP
