Would be a fun fight. Not sure who i favour. Ortiz is an old man and Whyte has the gas tank of a slob so would be fun but sloppy

The fight shouldn't even be sanctioned Whyte would end up like Shannon Briggs after his Vitali Klitschko fight.

Well that works both ways in the sense if Ortiz used a Spanish phrase that didn't translate well in English, a translator might choose an American one to relay the essence of what he said instead of using the exact like-for-like words in English. It might be fake news regardless, but your observation doesn't establish that...

Or Ortiz could throw in a common English phrase into a Spanish paragraph.

Why would he swerve it ?

Ortiz declined Whyte twice and the last one fought on the same day against Cojanu in July 28th the day Whyte fought Parker bc Ortiz said he wanted a few more months to prepare ? lol

All you have is Whyte’s word for that. Whereas OFFICIALLY, Whyte turned down 1 eliminator against him already

Whyte doesn't need the eliminator if he is a Joshua potential next opponent and no I saw Ortiz's comments that he requested an October match with whyte which then was around june.

Whyte is on record as is Hearn trying to get Ortiz to fight Whyte in 2016 before he left the U.k under Hearn...he fought Allen instead.

Whyte should just take the fight he thinks its an easy win,hes not afraid of Ortiz at all and thinks hes to old to present a real threat to him.

The question is will he fight Ortiz for less or a much bigger Chisora fight in the U.k ?

No way did this come from the mouth of Luis Ortiz who now spends his time on his rocking chair, flicking through the horse racing while puffing on his pipe.

As for Ortiz, he will be kept away from anyone remotely dangerous as he is Wilder‘s next fight after Fury.

    I hope it happens.

Lots of heavyweights including Whyte have avoided Ortiz over the years, including both Wilder and Joshua a few years back.

But Luis is older now and somewhat faded, so it's possible Whyte might man up and go through with it.

Whyte has never decisively beaten a top level fighter. Allen, Browne and Helenius are the best guys that he's definitively beating. He didn't get the better of Chisora and Parker. Both fights could have gone either way. Although to his credit has achieved more than most anticipated but this is a horrid style match up. Whyte is easy to hit and not all that hard to hurt. Ortiz KO inside the first half of the fight.

Hilarious. Sounds like the main event needs some more tickets shifting and they are trying to jump on the Brit gravy train.
