Would he be offered peanuts though? It's not like Hrgovic/Hunter, Parker a former champion fought on a number of UK PPV's, he has a solid fan base back home too, as long as it doesn't go to purse bids he could get a decent payday out of this, 7 figures for sure. But if it goes to purse bids his lower ranking will see him take the smaller share of the purse that might be a reason not to take it but I can't see Hrgovic being a problem in negotiations.

Parker is Technically superior to Hgovic and he wins all day long short of Hgovic having a punchers chance. But how on earth could this matchup be considered a title eliminator??

Fast Eddie is his promoter & he's been pushing it so who knows? The reason Hrgovic can't get fights is b/c he doesn't bring any money to the table. Parker won't fight him for short money & I'll be surprised if he fights him at all. Same reason Hunter didn't take the fight.

    How about Joe Joyce-Hrgovic?

Parker's a draw on his own though, for example he made 1.1 mill when he fought Hughie Fury in New Zealand, Hughie made 750K. Hrgovic/Hunter was as fight between 2 fighters who don't draw, Parker vs a highly rated contender in an eliminator should generate more money than Hrgovic/Hunter by some margin to be split between them. So I don't really see money being a big issue unless Parker gets a rematch with Whyte or a shot at Fury if he declines Whyte, I don't see any other obvious big money fights for Parker next.

Hunter didn't take the fight over money as neither were a draw but also because Triller are paying him stupid money to fight for them and not fight Hrgovic for some reason. But with Parker/Hrgovic I see Parker easily making over a million with New Zealand PPV and UK money combined.

I'm not sure if Warren would let Joyce take it. I'm sure Joyce would be confident of beating Hrgovic again like he did in WSB, but Warren might want Joyce to just sit on his WBO mandatory position. Plus Joyce is apparently injured so can't even if Warren agreed.

I don't agree that Parker is superior at all. This is a good fight and I'd lean towards Hrgovic despite it being a big step up for him.

He just ducked. And if Parker wants a title shot, this fight makes perfect "sense". But again, just like Hunter and Ortiz, He wants the easiest path to a belt and he does not have the confidence to go in there and blow out Hrgovic. These guys are not boxers now a days, they are businessmen. and their business is keeping up the facade that they will fight anybody. I do not want to hear Parker say that he wants another title shot after this. He will fight shopworn Chisora twice but he won't fight Hrgovic once?

I think Hearn may throw some cash into a Parker - Hrgovic fight to make it more appealing

A win-win for Eddie and DAZN. Hope it happens....

As long as it's at least Hrgovic or Joyce. I reckon Parker might stick to the WBO route.

    A. If Parker was a true fighter or warrior he would take the fight as it leads directly to a title shot.
    B. Parker is just like the rest of these clowns. Fighting the easiest guys possible, then crying for a title shot.
    C. I am done hearing about how a good fight "doesn't make sense". In other sports, the best go against the best all the time. They are forced to. In boxing, every time a good fight possibly comes up, there are all these reasons and excuses as to why it cannot happen.

:asskisserShould we start a thread about how this duck damages Joshua and Whyte's resumes?

Miss the "unless a better fight comes along"?

Unlike your boyfriend Ortiz, Parker never ducked AJ.
