 :scaredas: GTFO! :rofl ****ing Joy Boys really turned out to be quite the little girls. How many dead fighters or ruined fighters do we know of because of headbutts? Now how many fighters have been killed by punches? How much worse is a cheao shot? You guys are acting like ***s. :-(
How come no one talks about the cheapshot Ortiz threw after the butt? he fought dirty and Floyd retaliated within the rules and knocked his ass out.
:good I hate generalizing, because some of his fans are ok. The other's are no better than just a bunch of hood rats bragging about a person being beat down in a rat pack. They lack a moral compass... :smoke
It was an extremely dangerous thing to do. I see it being no different to a football player (or maybe soccer to you) launching a two-footed tackle with studs showing. It’s dirty and not part of the game. There’s always the worse case scenario of causing permanent damage. With that said, sucker-punching an opponent who you know is not expecting anything, can be equally classless/damaging. Arthur Abraham, when he accidently hit Dirrell whilst down, was scorned heavily by everyone. Outside of the fact that it was deemed ‘legal’, Mayweather’s act was no different his if we're being completely honest.
:deal ****ing idiots here I swear to God: "In the fight against Kabary Salem in September 1999, Carver was headbutted repeatedly during the early rounds in a foul filled bout. He was knocked down in the 10th and tried unsuccessfully 4 times to get to his feet. He then lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital. Tragically, Carver died 2 days later from blunt head trauma received during the fight."
Strip away the legal and illegal stuff for a moment. Was Dirrell being hit unexpectedly on the ground (consequently exposing the dangers of what such a thing can do) any different to Ortiz being hit unexpectedly whilst he was looking at Cortez? In terms of doing harm?
Ok so if a fighter looks away from his opponent for a split second, the boxer in front of him can't hit him? Or shouldn't hit him? :roflatsch I guess anytime someone in trouble just look away from your opponent they won't be able to hit you without receiving criticism from cry babies.
Guess no one saw Gman and Benn and watched what a clash of heads could do ! It pains me to know that there are ******ed boxing fans out there !
We know that Mayweather likes to talk to commentators during rounds. What if he was looking at the commentators and talking to them and unexpectedlly got hit with a punch? By your logic, that's just as bad as someone getting hit while they're down. In both cases, the fighter isn't paying attention and gets hit unexpectedly. Now anyone with an ounce of common sense can see that the two situations aren't the same. This is why you can't simply strip away the concept of legality here.
