    Dude, the floydettes have ALWAYS been a bunch of pussies. Hell, the alt account was practically invented by them.

    Look at the other **** they say, "Floyd is right to ask Pac for a OSDT if he thinks Pac is on PED's. He could kill him!!!' :nut

    **** like that on and on.

    As far as I understand it, the referee has to call time to resume and then signal for them to box (half heartedly). Cortez did it the other way round and realized he messed up. This is evident in his reaction, and him taking his eyes completely off the two fighters.

    What the hell are you talking about dumbass, we're addressing the LEGAL retaliation against a dirty fighter, who instigated the whole fiasco to get out of a whoopin.

    What I'm saying is that your logic is flawed. The rules state you are not allowed to hit a fighter who is down. The reason for this is because fighters that are generally down are not able to protect themselves. Everyone knows this, and everyone knows that when they're down that they don't expect to get hit.

    You know when should you expect to get hit? When you're standing up during a round. And to avoid any confusion as to whether or not the round is going on, the ref tells you before the fight; PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES. Victor knows this. Naivity is no excuse. He should've fully been prepared for an incoming punch at that time(Mayweather's hands being in a fighting position was another huge clue for him). This guy voluntarilly decided not to defend himself even though he was told to do otherwise, and you're going to sit here and say that's equivlant to hitting a man who's on the canvas. That's plain silly.

    It was clear to everyon except Victor apparently. Cortez and the timekeeper both confirmed that he did in fact say time in, and Mayweather knew the round was on. So Victor was the only one that didn't know.

    I really cannot understand the outrage at pbf . . . except that it is PBF. One thing was illegal and outside of the rules of conduct for boxing . . . The other is legal. if ortiz decided that he would rather take his relationship with Floyd to the next level, he should have waited until the fight was over. the ref signaled to fight, so huggy feelly time is over, and the fight was back on. The real question is how can there be a sucker punch during legal time in boxing (unless the fighter is down)? I guess the sucker got punched

    Dirrell defenseless position is the result of him slipping/knocked-down (whatever), he was within his right not to expect to get hit and thus protected under the rules. In Ortiz's case, it was his own decision to apologize for a 3rd time. He had no right to expect not getting punched and thus wasn't protected under the rules. Fact is Ortiz chose to be defenseless. Mayweather did what had to do, knock him out.

    Boxing is all about inflicting the most damage within the rules. The rules are there to minimize deaths/injuries. If a fighter choose to disregard the most important safety rules, than he's got himself to blame for any injury he may get. It's like a fighter fighting with his hands down while exposing his chins. He will only have himself to blame the day he gets KTFO (and the day will come) and get health issues.

    What abraham did was criminal. What floyd did was maybe unsightly, though totally acceptable considering the situation.

    This is straight from NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer;

    "If a guy headbutts me, I'd want to punch him in the face too. I think that Floyd's not getting the credit that he deserves. Floyd didn't retaliate. He waited. He waited. He waited. Until the referee said 'Time in,' and then he let him have it. Good for Floyd. Good for Floyd. People ask me what was Joe doing. I checked with the timekeeper, and he said 'Joe turned to us, and he said, 'Time in,' and started the clock again.He asked if they had hit the clappers yet. Because the clappers happen with 10 seconds left on the clock. The timer said, 'Yes, eight seconds left.'"

    There you go. He said time in and then he turned to the timekeeper and asked if they had hit the clappers yet.

    I wish Mike Tyson could've kept his cool and retaliated the right way, with in the rules. Floyd always said that if someone fought him dirty they would end up getting it back much worse.
