He committed the SAME offense that Mayweater allegedly perpetrated against him, early in his career against Corey Alarcon. The difference? IN ORTIZ'S CASE IT WAS ACTUALLY DIRTY, AS IT WAS ACTUALLY DURING AN ORDERED BREAK. :deal From the RBR: In a situation where the referee's hands were ON each boxer, spread apart and physically moving them backward away from each other - Ortiz threw a blatant cheating uppercut on the break and knocked Alarcon out cold. He then moans about how he got a raw deal in being disqualified, and the mutters some nonsense about the referee saying to "box out" when the referee was clearly non-verbally communicating to them to BACK UP and break clean with his hands pushing them apart as he got between them. Furthermore, I suspect he and his management team have used his growing influence and star power/financial backing to intimidate anyone who had footage of the bout up on sites like Youtube into taking them down, probably with phony accusations of copyright infringement or something. You would think that a rising STAR prospect would have even his early televised bouts available to view online if possible, right? Especially if they want to play the "victim" card and act like he was wrongfully disqualified. What is there to hide? THE FACT THAT HE FOULED, AND WAS IN THE WRONG. Then, in a situation where Cortez had already waved his hands together (the old Incredible Hulk thunderclap motion) and said "Let's go!" before averting his eyes for a moment for who knows what reason (Joe Walcott to the courtesy phone, please..) - Ortiz touches gloves with Mayweather, and then keeps talking and outstretching his arms for yet ANOTHER hug after the ceremonial glove touch to effectively write the issue off as dropped. Mayweather looks him dead in the eye and in a sudden moment of remembrance of how this phony smiling ******* had just RAMMED his huge head into his mouth while pinning him in the corner, throws a powerful left hook into the offender's face. Then a right hand to knock him out cold while Ortiz failed to gather his wits and defend himself during the entire second and a half he had to do so after getting clocked by the hook. He then moans about how Mayweather hit him on the break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! atsch THE SAME GUY WHO SIX YEARS EARLIER IN HIS FIRST LOSS, REFUSED TO ABIDE BY A CLEAR COMMAND AND GESTURE TO BREAK CLEAN, ACCUSES SOMEONE ELSE OF HITTING HIM ILLEGALLY ON A BREAK EVEN THOUGHT IT WAS PLAIN FOR THE ENTIRE WORLD TO SEE THAT CORTEZ HAD WAVED THEM ON, AND THAT MAYWEATHER AND ORTIZ HAD TOUCHED GLOVES AND BEGUN TO SEPARATE FROM THE INITIAL LEAN-IN/HUG AND STARED AT EACH OTHER FOR NEARLY A FULL PREGNANT SECOND BEFORE MAYWEATHER NARROWED HIS EYES INTO SLITS AND COCKED AND THREW THAT LEFT HOOK WHILE THE MORON ORTIZ WENT FOR A THIRD HUG!!!!! atsch HYPOCRITE! What goes around comes around. Corey Alarcon should send Floyd Mayweather Jr. a thank-you card and a fruit basket.
while it wasnt illegal, i wish floyd hadnt done what he did. there was no need. it left a bit of a sour taste. not because i like ortiz (cant stand the lying scum) but because i love boxing. And for me personally sportsmanship is a massive part of professional sports.
HYPOCRITE! Yes Manny Pacquiao your next I never said Manny Pacquiao is next dont put words in my mouth This fight I am dedicating to all the battered woman of the world.. Mayweather wins by Kayo over late sub Josie Harris officials ring side were his two sons who were so terried after witnessing their father hitting and kicking their mother while she was down they ran to the securty gaurds. I dont duck or dodge nobody... Pac agrees to testing.. I am going on Vacation... lets talk about hypocrites please lets do...
Him and his trainer also went on & on before the fight about how dirty PBF was, than Ortiz goes out there and uses his head all night long even before the big foul, ****em the POS got what he deserved.
This thread is about something specific. You clearly have nothing to contribute to the specific topic, so you're bringing in completely unrelated **** that just happens to segue from you framing it under the common word "hypocrite". Way to go. You've really made a strong argument.
Did he **** your girl IB? For the past week, all I've heard from you about Ortiz is how much he sucks as a person and as a fighter. You're getting to be as bad those Floyd and Pac fans.
None of it isn't true. There isn't much to like, if you scratch beneath the surface that is spoon-fed by the likes of 24/7 and GBP. When it suits him, the sanctity of the "clean break" should be honored (even though Mayweather did honor it, and wait a second between touching gloves and throwing the hook). Of course, when it doesn't suit his whim or mood swing... Utterly horrible, what he did to Alarcon. His license ought to have been revoked. We shouldn't even be talking about him today. He's a creepy lying psychopath and a dirty fighter who got ridiculously overrated on this forum. Now it's time to reflect on what he really is and always has been.
Ortiz was grinding his head into Floyd the entire fight, he also butted him in the stomach in the previous round. The ****er then has the audacity to say he didn't mean to and that Floyd moved forward and caused their heads to clash. All the while being happy as a pig in **** that he got out of there with no more punishment, some people allow their blind hate of Floyd to cloud their judgment, Ortiz acted like a ***** and got checked like a *****. Good post IB.
This dude never forgot. This content is protected Mayweather should have dedicated the knockout to that cat ^. BTW, congrats to Corey for his huge upset win last month over unbeaten prospect and former amateur standout Joshua "Golden Boy" Gomez. :good Between that and what happened last night, the dude must be feeling pretty deservedly happy right about now.
