and? that's pretty much common knowledge for everyone except the romantic's who always believe the underdog has a shot.
There's no doubt in my mind that when the sun comes up tomorrow it will be Tuesday. But I didn't start a thread to state the obvious. Ortiz is big, strong, and apparently tougher than we thought a few years ago. But he's not at the elite level skill-wise. Anyone seriously predicting an Ortiz win isn't paying much attention.
I know several hundred people that think Ortiz will not only win but will KO Mayweather. In fact the number of people here locally who believe Ortiz wins is in the thousands.
I don't know several hundred people well enough to talk to them about boxing. And I only know a handful of fellow boxing fans, and none of them are picking Ortiz.
It is 50/50 at my work and there are 130 people there. There are 1200 or so who work at the Tyson plant here and they almost to a man are picking Ortiz.
Tell me about it. Imagine, He got a draw with Lamont Peterson and was scrapped by Maidana. Compare Mayweather to Peterson and Maidana you got a double portion of ass whoopin! :kayo
Do you think he'll come back from the schooling with anything to show for it or be done like of Bernard's students?
Ortiz has a puncher's chance. That's it. His improve 'toughness' has yet to be proven. Beating a hypejob does not make you tougher, just the illusion of of it. I think he still cracks under enough pressure.
"Float like a butterfly, sting like Ortiz!" Vicious Victor has more black slickness than the BP oil spill. Mayweather has never seen the like.
