but then again all my mates are 50 somethings so ortiz is a youngster.

 

In the mean time a 52 year old Lennox Lewis is some Benjamin Button muthaphucker, looking younger each year lol.

There is actually a medical way of checking in age they use it in youth football tournaments using MRI’S.

Mid 40s, possibly even late, is my guess too.

Ortiz said he was inspired to become a boxer by watching Muhammad Ali fight for the world title live - he said live. Ali's last title fight was in 1980 vs Holmes, his last fight 1981 vs Berbick. That's over 36 years ago.

Now Ortiz claims to be 38 - does a one or two year old understand enough about boxing to be inspired? Nope. So we need to add at least 5 and possibly even 10 years to his age IMHO.

 

I feel sorry for Carlos Ortiz, he's waited so long for a title shot.
First there was Jack Dempsey refusing to face him because he drew the line against "negro" challengers.
Then Ortiz refused to play ball with the Mob and was frozen out into boxing's wilderness.
Then the Cuban Revolution happened and Fidel Castro prohibited professional boxing completely.
Now after almost 60 years of dictatorship Fidel Castro is dead and the Americans are victimizing Ortiz for taking blood pressure medication !
