Spot on. Styles make fights. Fact. In my honest opinion Victor Ortiz is a beast and poses more challenge than Marquez as he is more skillful and a hungry lion. Fact. If Victor and Juan Marquez met, I see Marquez not surviving past two. Fact. This being said, Floyd does not fight Tomato cans like Pacquiao does when he had the chance to face Ortiz. Fact.
being out for 16 months and coming back to fight someone like Ortiz (who just proved to be more than comfortable at 147) in his first fight gets more respect than someone who beats up an old man (which nobody wanted to see in the first place) and then picks an old, past prime featherweight to move up to 144 :deal
If Ortiz comes to fight and really lets it all hang out I give him a 25% shot. He's still too green to beat Floyd, but age and inactivity could be a factor.
With the exception of Clottey, Cotto and Margarito, I see Ortiz winning against other Pacquiao opponents. He steamrolls the overrated Marquez. Fact. He makes minced meat of Morales and Barrera simply both are too small. Fact.
Physical advantages mean nothing against Mayweather. He'll need to land a lucky punch to win, and no-one does that against Mayweather
Really, who thinks that? I just saw him at the press conference. Ortiz had just one fight at 147, but he's noticebly bigger than Floyd. He looks strong for the weight and that's why he gave Berto so much trouble. He can punch and he's hungry so that's a really good matchup, but his defense is where Floyd would take a lot of advantage in.
