i am coming around to the idea that ortiz can really beat mayweather, its more of a gut feeling than boxing knowledge but i dont think mayweather has ever really fought anybody like ortiz, hes bigger ,younger and stronger and never takes a step backwards.floyds never faced anybody like this.my prediction is floyd will be scared to get hit and ortiz will be coming foward all night, the few punchs that floyd throws will not be enough to keep ortiz off him and in the later rounds floyd will be forced to throw more punchs than he wants to win the rounds and when that happens ortiz is gonna catch him with something big, late round ko ortiz.

i'm getting that gut feeling too. can just see ortiz landing big and then its over. shocking the world. think about this though. berto landed big shots on ortiz, imagine what floyd will do. people underestimate how strong and fast floyd is. think about the ortiz that quit.

At this age I want to see how Floyd would do against a southpaw with a punch.

Is Floyd that great? OR Ortiz another hyped job?

I like to think about the ortiz that got up in a few seconds after berto's monstrous right hand.

when i heard Mayweather picking Ortiz after a lay off,i thought it was ok.But after rewatching ortiz fight,i really think he will cause Mayweather trouble:he´s extremly hungry,he can FIGHT,hit hard and take shots,go down, get up and knocking the opponent down...And he IS a fast southpaw..

If Ortiz wasn't a southpaw, no one would even give him a chance. He is about to get raped.

Perfect for Floyd IMO. Slower, come forward fighter with not great defense.

Another troll trying to make out this is a hard fight for Mayweather.

A guy who doesn't have a jab, will NEVER beat Floyd. Get real.

There's a reason Mayweather picked Ortiz, and it's because he peppers him all ****ing day.

Honestly, did any of you watch the Peterson fight? The Maidana fight?

Peterson was smacking the shiz out of him. Ortiz took Campbell 12 rounds and you expect him to beat Mayweather based on a fight with Berto?

Let's not forget how overhyped Berto was.

    Silly thread.

    "I'm gonna' destroy this kid"

Floyd Mayweather chuckling to Max Kellerman, whilst Ortiz is sitting right infront of him

  12. this fight is going to be mayweather hatton all over ortiz will over whelm floyd for the first 6 or 7 rounds and floyd will turn up the heat and ortiz will get stopped or quit AGAIN

Mayweather much like most of you is going to underestimate Ortiz that night.
I expect a hard night for Floyd especially in the first 3/4rds.

Hopefully Ortiz is training for workrate & pressure...
This version of Mayweather ain't much on output.
(As for Floyd's power... Nah Don't think Ortiz has anything to worry about)
