I give Ortiz the best chance out of everyone at beating Khan, it's too bad he fought with so much hubris against Maidana. His speed and southpaw style combined with power would be Khan's worst possible matchup.

To be fair, Khan spars with a mix of Southpaw/speed/power in the form of Pac, so I'm sure he's picked up a few things from that...but Ortiz and Pac are very different, of course. I'm not actually sure how Khan would do against Ortiz, as I need to see more of Ortiz's matches -- I've only seen his bout with Maidana.

Pac would probably KO Khan every time they sparred if they weren't wearing headgear, so I'm not sure it's relevant to how he'd take Ortiz's punches.

Ortiz had a reputation as being chinny and weak-hearted, even before the Maidana fight. Nobody questions his power or his ability to place that power in sharp right hooks and straight lefts, however.

Hell yeah,i seen this vid cruisin through youtube.

Be a realy good fight IMO.

I like Ortiz.I think he can be a great world champ.

The fight with Maidana was alittle premature for Ortiz, with the whole being the main event of the card that night was to much to soon for Ortiz.Ortiz looks to have grown since that fight and has a solid future in the sport.

Lets see what happens with Khan vs Maidana first.:bbb

Ortiz doesn't offend any boxer period. They both have good personalities

really now? ummm nope i don't think so...he was basically undefeated before maidana and his heart came into question ONLY in the maidana fight. He has never been "chinny" that I know of. He has learned a great deal from the Maidana fight and has gone 4-0 (3 KOs) since that fight. He is ready to face the best in the division, and a fight with Khan would do well for their careers

I always thought khan was significantly taller than Ortiz...but now that i see them side by side, they're pretty much the same. I think Ortiz might be more powerful, and i'd give him the edge in the fight...but that's just IMO

Victor Ortiz is the 2010s edition of Zab Judah. They're even both southpaws. The main difference is that Zab Judah can take a beating like a man, but Ortiz handles it like a child.

It seems like the quality pool declines over time. Floyd didn't let Corley win a single round, and Cotto KO'd him. Devon can't beat an older Corley as convincingly, and Maidana didn't impress against Chop Chop.

After the Maidana fight i can give a full assesment on this Matchup. But ill tell you this, if any boxer is going to fill up the MGM after Pac, Mayweather, and Whoever is gone; it's these two.

****in pathetic , i stopped watching at 48 seconds

I think Ortiz is a little slow for Khan , he's not very elusive either , id fancy Khan to come out and set a pace , have Ortiz broken down by 8 or 9 and maybe KO him late on ..............
