I already wrote this a couple of times. Everyone who thinks a slow, fat and untrained Ortiz will show up in two weeks is simply dumb. Ortiz will reach his best level for the fight vs Wilder because it IS his hardest fight. Ortiz is an athlete, no old grandpa in mid50s who is boxing a bit for having some fun.

Years ago when I started gymming (is that even a word?) I was doing the leg press with a couple of plates on. I see some old liver-spotted Gramps standing by waiting for the machine. So I finished up and asked if he needed a hand with the plates.

I meant to take them off.

He said he was OK, and started piling on.

He piled on so many plates there was barely space for more and when he did the leg press OMFG his legs were popping with muscles like those He-man toys from way back when. I slunk out. Power is the last thing to go. Some of those old mudderfuggers are iron.

Ortiz may just put a fullstop on Wilder's career, is what I'm saying.
