i believe the reason hes punching high is because it helps, its harder to jab up and then he'll be able to throw lots of jabs at the same height or lower, i guess he feels jab is the way to beat floyd like oscar did in early 3-4 rounds

 

I agree working low middle and high is a a good technique--in Mexico they call it Los Tres Tiempos. I don't see him as being slow nor do I see him trying to be fast.

 

Who cares how he looks! everyone on ESB is saying and the general consensus is that Mayweather is gonna easily outbox Ortiz and take an easy tune up win...and ortiz poses no threat in which I disagree and many will be in for a rude awakening.

So it's not like if he he looks good or bad is gonna change what you believe Mayweather is gonna do...

IMO Ortiz is gonna drop him, and Mayweather is gonna run and get TKO'd...

Or Mayweather is just gonna potshot and run all night...for a boring UD as the running will be very evident and it won't be a masterpiece because 1 it's not an old gassing out mosely, 2 it's not a past his best LW moving up and having NO advantage whatsover over Mayweather.. he is gonna run and potshot from the stronger ORtiz if it happens this way.

People shouldn't be surprised. Ortiz footwork is awful and he just makes too many fundamental errors to even get close to mayweather.

 

Berto is a faster puncher than Floyd.... Floyd is just ALOT smarter and times it alot better.... Berto is much stronger at 147 also... Ortiz will walk through Floyds shots! Because Floyd IS NOT A PUNCHER!!!! Maidana is a BRUTAL puncher and Berto is a semi big puncher! I guarantee Ortiz walks through the punches and has his way with Floyd..... Then we will see what kind of heart he has!

 

I disagree. The punches that hurt are the ones you dont see and I will not be shocked if mayweather drops ortiz.

I think Ortiz slows markedly in the later rounds. Seems like Berto gasses after a minute or so in any given round. Even the early rounds.

After a minute or so in any round, and especially in the later rounds Mayweather seems to remain much quicker than Berto, and most of his(Mayweather's) opponents. I thinks Mayweather eats Ortiz up in the later rounds.
