Ortiz didn't win any rounds but he did a lot better than I expected. I thought I would see Floyd vs Gatti all over again... Instead I saw Victor land strong lefts...hard rights and take some great counters. I didn't give Ortiz any shot in beating Floyd but I must say......Ortiz could have landed a good shot that put Floyd on ice had the fight went on..... It's just a lot less likely than the obvious outcome which would have been a UD victory for Floyd.
One of the dmber threads on ESB. Video was obvioulsy made by a boxing idiot. All professional boxers miss a lot of there shots when they throw. Hell, lets say a guy lands 400/600 punches. that's damn good 66.6% connect rate, and yet some idiot could still make a video thats shows all of the 200 punches that missed and claim that he was being made to miss alot. Floyd landed a ton of flush right hands, swoll Ortiz's face up, and made Victor miss badly. He vastly outlanded him. It was a masterclass.
Floyd jr miss a lot because his fighting a southpaw... For some reason Floyd jr got a good positioning but against a lefty it's like a strange angle for him so chances are he will get caught & will react differently with his offense... He's movement seems clashing with a lefty maybe his defense got so much blind spot for a southpaw opponent...
Ortiz won round 2, even emmanuel gave it to him I think and he loves Floyd. Someone needs to post a close up of Mayweathers face and reactions. Dude was in deep water that he wasn't used to and you can tell by his expressions.
great vid. actual video footages dont lie. only floyd nuts would try to deny the truth here. floyd was missing wildly and ortiz was connecting too many power shots.
I said it out loud during the fight...Floyd looked unusually sloppy a few times...but Ortiz making him miss means ****. At no point should Ortiz have been moving backwards. There was no way in hell he was gonna win a boxing match against Mayweather.
In four rounds Mayweather landed at 35% that is bellow his norm. In his five prevouos fights he has landed at 46%. (source Compubox). In boxing terms 35% is really good. Mayweather is known for being a slow starter, and the numbers may have gotten better as the fight went on. Ortiz landed 18% of his punches Mayweather's 5 fight avarage going in was 16%.
