Ortiz in the post fight admits he quit then talks as if he might retire.

I've never seen a Mexican conduct himself like this in his prime. I'm truly shocked.

 

Ortiz said he wouldn't go out on his back, that should end the comparisons to Vargas. Sounds like he isn't prepared to go life and death for greatness.

 

Then they tried to send the Doc over there to "stop it on cuts." :roll: The guy quit and if he continued, he would have been KTFO. That's all there is to it.

Great fight I just was expecting a lot more out of Ortiz.

 

He quit, but he sure wasn't helped by his corner who sounded like they were pushing him to quit. What great advice for a fighter who just got badly hurt in a fight where one punch kept changing everything: we want you to give up.
