    All true. :good:good

I don't condone or support no cheaters, but Margarita went out on his shield like a true warrior. He took his beating like a man.

I box and have lived among boxers in my family since I was a kid. When you're familiar enough with how it really is -- the training, the dedication -- you see people learning that they don't have what it takes long before they get to where Victor Ortiz was tonight.

I feel bad that he had to get so hyped up before this kind of experience happened to him. That was the kind of fight that will test any young fighter's devotion to the sport.

Much respect to anybody who steps in that ring, but much much more goes to the guys like Maidana, who keep coming even after being on the canvas several times early in the fight.

Toughness and heart can't be taught.

Yes he did. :-( Very dissapointing for a man who seemed like a future star...

Oh well, that's why you never pronounce a fighter as being great until they get tested and you get to see what they're really made of.

Your right, he should have kept going even though his body language said he was physically done, what a dick...not even willing to fight till the death, or at least brain damaged a little. Not like all of us cyber-warriors would have done. Man what a loser that guy is.

And you still haven't. Ortiz shouldn't be in his prime yet.

hmm says... i was never really impressed by Ortiz cause his last couple of fights his competition was lacking so I began to question his role as a champ. Hence I picked Maidana due to his fierceness against good opposition. I wake up and find surprising news that he "quit" and in the 5th round... made my day and $30 richer. I wonder if he'll ever bounce back to how he was once portray as a warrior... after that display he won't be the same.

Props for Maidana for coming back up every time he got knocked down and winning the fight. I'm disappointed at Ortiz for for the way he quit and for some of the things he said after the fight. He's still a work in progress and I hope he comes back. He's still young and hopefully he can learn from this.

Ortiz would've had to go a few more rounds but he could've gotten the win with a little more patience. Ortiz just needs to take some time to reasess his career and see what he wants out of it.
