No reason why Ruiz v Ortiz can't happen.

Lets be honest, Whyte will probably go up against a journeyman like Jerry Forrest or try and get that cheap pointless WBA regular title off Trevor Bryan and if they don't follow through, one of Eddie's favouries that he likes to drag out a lot Eric Molina will be waiting in the wings to step in.

I think that Ortiz is tailor made for Whyte at this moment in time, a couple of years ago not so much. I fancy Ruiz would beat both of them on points though.

I think that Whyte would stand a good chance of being the first man to stop Ruiz. He would absolutely batter his body and I don't think that Ruiz would handle it. Whyte's roughness and aggression would win him the contest. I'd like to see him in against Ruiz more than Ortiz but both would be interesting, but Ortiz must be about 45 now, realistically.

This Frank Sanchez bloke is supposed to be 28 years old. Not a chance.

You have a point on the body work to be fair. I think Ruiz fast hands would ask questions of Whyte but it would be a decent fight if both engage.

A HW Super Six between Whyte, Ruiz, Ortiz, Hrgovic, Hunter and Joyce would be ****ing epic! Couldn't confidently pick a winner out of that lot but, if my life depended on it, I'd go for Joyce vs Hrgovic in the final with Joyce just about edging it.

Whyte's left hook cracks Ortizn'ts chin for the final time and I could see Whyte vs Ruiz being an absolute hum dinger, with both hitting the canvas and the winner would likely depend on who comes in, in the best shape.

I think Whyte could get Ruiz at the right time, not sure if the weight loss is going to suit Ruiz. Lot of times people like that lose there durability, when they lose too much weight.

I fancy Whyte to beat Ruiz and Ortiz. I don't feel Whyte will get much credit on here if he beat either of them. "Ortiz is too old" and "Ruiz is drained from the weight loss".

I reckon both Whyte and Ruiz would comfortably beat ol Ortiz now who has slowed significantly now he is in his 60s.

Whyte Ruiz is a 50 50. Potentially a great fight. Doubt it would happen though.

Ortiz is a funny one... He looks decent on the eye test, but his resume is hollow, his best win Bryant Jennings (himself not that special).
How does he fare against someone like Whyte or Ruiz? Either would be comfortably his best win if he managed it, given his age that seems unlikely.
As a side note, if Wilder was prepared to fight Ortiz twice but ran a mile from Whyte that probably tells you something.

Whyte-Ruiz would be interesting, both look less impressive than a couple of years back but both are still solid fighters... I think Whyte probably takes it, but it'd be a good watch.

Ortiz is irrelevant . Needs to beat a top 15 opponent before he gets a shot at one of contenders such as Whyte and Ruiz (who would be big favourites against Ortiz).

Whyte vs Ruiz would be a good fight. Whyte's management have seem desperate to make the Ruiz fight and Ruiz team don't seem so keen on making it.
