Because he was aligned with Al Haymon. I don’t want to hear excuses from him to not fight Whyte , would be huge double standards.

On the minus side, Ortiz did PEDs. On the plus side, Ortiz is 115 years old.

Wilder did the sums and eventually came to the conclusion it would be OK to fight him.

No fighter should be forced to fight some drug abusing cheater. Especially so soon after the aforementioned cheater has been busted.

If Wilder disregarded one cheater, even to fight him twice, then that is his own choice. There is no compulsion in facing cheats in boxing.

Wilder may fight as he pleases.

He won't have to make excuses, Whyte will have his mandatory revoked and be taken out of the rankings

Congrats to the OP for making it to the second stage of grief.

Most are still in denial, the first stage.

Blubirdy has moved along to bargaining.

And Whyte had also previously failed a drug test. Wilder would have fought him too.

There's more to this than the failed test. Ruiz would be mad to go to the UK to fight Roid gut now.

Wilder fought Stiverne as mandatory as well, despite Stiverne testing positive for DMAA in the aborted Povetkin fight.

Ortiz is old. Ortiz is so old that he walked the Earth when Bigfoot was still alive. That is why Wilder is fighting him. Wilder will only fight old men or tomato cans. Well in that ******s Wilder is like Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Wladimir Klitschko and others who did all they could do to keep the titles or stay "undefeated" longer.
