Apparently the WBA are gunna order this fight next. I was high on Ortiz from a skill level when he stopped Jennings and Thompson but his last few fights has had me doubting whether his age is catching up to him. That's not to say that I don't think his dangerous or that he can't beat AJ or Vlad but these fights are way closer than I initially thought.

Nevertheless happy to see him get a title shot and happy that top guys are starting to mix it up again.

Yep, it's an interesting fight. I used to think Ortiz would beat AJ, but as of now I think AJ can win by using his superior movement.

Many good fights already signed for 2017, this would be another one to add to the list.

I'm still very high on Ortiz, he didn't look great in the Malik Scott fight but he was the only one to show up and fight. Thought he looked ok against Dave Allen who IMO may have one of the best chins in boxing today.

I don't personally think AJ has superior movement, but I think he could bulldozer Ortiz who seems to be shorter than his recorded height.

Although I do think Allen has a hell of a chin I think AJ, Vlad, Haye and wilder have the power to knock him out.

But Ortiz vs Vlad/AJ is a great match up and will only add to some great fights coming up next year like you so rightly said.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ortiz gets busted for steroids again.

This! Either that or his time to get knocked out is at hand when he fights Wladimir.

Long as he's been tested by Vada I'm confident he's either not on the stuff or his become a master of hiding it lol.

I hope this fight happens. 2017 is looking to blow 2016 out of the water in the first three months

    Both.

The winner should fight Ortiz next.
