Yep it definitely is what it's all about, damn the Vlad and AJ winner have a tough schedule mean while Wilder is fighting another polish cab driver (I know his coming off an injury but that's not a good enough opponent for a champion regardless).
It's a great fight indeed, but I think Hearn is not gonna be up for it... But still - if it happens (assuming Josh beats Wlad), then we'd have an amazing clash of styles... Both guys are more or less enigmatic for me, there are many question marks on both sides. I'd lead slightly towards AJ at this point.
I don't think Hearn will have a choice unless they wanna vacate the WBA title. I Honestly couldn't pick a winner out of the three at this point.
From what I heard he was looking to set up Ortiz vs Briggs for the regular title (which would buy him some time before eventually putting AJ there), but if WBA really goes this way then this will be strange to me. Recently they deleted Ortiz from they title mix saying that he never wanted that Ustinov fight, so it's really weird to put him just like that in mandatory position. It clearly lacks logic, but if it leads to AJ vs Ortiz then nobody will complain abut that. Let's just say it's not the biggest nonsense in a company that has three champions in so many divisions...
Some good fights coming to the Heavyweight division. Just hope the results are final and not controversial.
Hmm to be honest the way the WBA have handled this whole ranking situation has been bizarre, this why all these paper belts are meaningless. I thought the Ustinov fight didn't come off coz Ustinov didn't wanna use Vada testing, not sure who was in the wrong in that situation.
Kubrat pulev is washed up in my opinion but if anything I think pulev vs ortiz would be a great eliminator for the AJ vs Wlad winner.
Yeah AJ in the uk will probably be hard to beat on points coz his pretty much carrying the uk heavyweight scene atm,
At this point I believe everyone is on something, but people who have been busted in the past don't seem to know how to hide it.
Well he's hasn't tested positive again and is being tested by Vada so that kinda suggests his now off it or has hid it well. I don't think his on it when I compare him to a Povetkin who looks like an enhanced soldier compared to his old fights.
i know I don't expect him too Ko everyone but the Allen perfomance was just okay and the Malik Scott performance really showed that Ortiz Is not the same when he is the one who has to initiate, he is a counter puncher and likes people coming towards him so he can exploit any openings. I know Scott fought the most negative fight ever in case someone brings that up.
pulev is waiting for a mandatory slot for joshua`s ibf belt and IMO hearn will take that option. less exciting fight / but safer for hearn /joshua and moneywise neither pulev or ortiz brings anything to the table. ortiz would the fight that fans would want to see. if aj can beat wlad (big if) then he will be sorted for pulevs jab and grab tactics without the power of a klitchko.
