If it is PBC then i just do not understand it... how do they do it? Surely one of these guys would see sense and realise the money and opportunity on offer. Surely if PBC are blocking it someone at some point will say or when these fighters are broke in 10 years there will be lawsuits galore.

It used to be that a shot at the champion was enough. Here he is given the opportunity to win 3 belts and unseat the man, heck he could give Joshua a rematch and demand 50mil if he was confident in himself.

    Blatant and utter duck.

Boxers in general are not a very well educated bunch of people so can be easily manipulated by promoters.

Remember when Hasim Rahman turned down a lucrative HBO deal to rematch Lewis which would of made him $14 mill for a rematch with Lewis plus 2 more fights for $3 mill if he lost and a 6 fight deal for over $5 mill per fight if he won, but turned it down and signed with King who showed up to his hotel with a bag of cash between $200-500K depending upon which reports are to be believed. Rahman was taken to court and forced to rematch Lewis and only got $10 mill. Rahman potetially turned down over $40 mill for a bag of cash.

Then there was those reports about Arum paying Pacquaio only a fraction of the official purses for his fight, yet Pac kept signing with Arum despite Arum stealing from him.

King using the race card with Tyson to get him to get rid of Cayton and based on some of the things Wilder has said about Hearn relationship with Joshua it seems Haymon has been using similar tactics with Wilder.

He's says a lot more than $5 mill, will be interesting to find out how much he was actually offered. Suffice to say he was offered more than Miller according to Hearn and still turned it down. Sounds like Ortiz is no longer an option the way he was talking despite there being reports of another offer, though Hearn did say he made 2 offers to Ortiz, so maybe he already made it and it was turned down.

Guess it's going to be Hunter or Ruiz Jr.

I bet they offered him $5m and probably offered him another fight for over $1m if he lost the fight. Saw that with the Miller numbers.

Ortiz is talented, no doubt. But come on, the guy is an undercard fighter as things stand. Get some perspective.

It sounds like he’s been offered the sort of money Wilder made in the Fury fight (speculative).

I don’t care if people are calling it a duck, or Haymon being tactical, team Ortiz is avoiding this particular fight as things stand.

Imagine rejecting 10 times your career high payday, and at a time where your value isn't what it was. Straight duck.

Par for the course where AJ is concerned. Fighters know two things. 1) A fight with him is probably going to end up with you getting knocked out. 2) He brings way more $s than anyone else in the division. A fight with him is a retirement payday, hence why so many fighters make ridiculous demands.

Lmao Hearn won't expose anything because he is lying through his teeth. If he says the offer was more than 5 million it was probably 5 million and a dollar.

Remember when he said he would EXPOSE all the offers made to fight on April 13th Wembley? Never happened
