Why the **** are you guys thinking that Ortiz is going to get his ass kicked and is way over his head in this one.

Berto has fought a bunch of nobodies!

Ortiz went life and death with Maidana who (knocked him down out 3 times!) recently went life and death with the person you guys think is the cream of the crop in Khan. Ortiz is fully capable of defeating Berto as much as Berto is capable of defeating him.

****ing Peterson who drew with Ortiz (or could have easily been an Ortiz win) got his butt knocked down by Ortiz is in the running to fight Khan and is not getting the grief that Ortiz is getting.

In this shitty year of boxing (Pacquiao v. Mosley, Cotto v. Mayorga, ****ing Holyfield fighting) we need an injection of youth and both fighters can quickly make a name for themselves in this fight.

    Ortiz by ko

Im impress by Ortiz since his lost to Maidana and opponents he has face after... He has mature and wouldn't mind seeing hime face Berto. Maybe at 147 he could surprise a few of us against Berto.

Ortiz seems to have evolved after the Maidana loss. During that time he was all out gunz blazing. His reputation was based on him going for the early KO. Many say thats why Maidana stopped him and i agree. Ortiz should have taken it slow and think not just swing for the fences.
    Ortiz by decision.

Close fight I think. If Berto beats Ortiz, he's deserving of a fight with Pac.

Whoever wins, it will be a great fight for boxing, at least on paper. Two young superstars fighting for the right to be called the best. This is not a war of an old shop worn veteran on the crisps of been labeled "shot" vs. a young up and coming superstar. If there were ever any fights we could look forward to this year, this is one of them.

True about Berto (he does need to man up & it can start with Ortiz), but tell me why Ortiz sucks. Let me see:
loss to Maidana (who Ortiz knocked down 3 times) who has 2 losses to title holders (Khan & Kotelnik)
Shut out of Nate Cambell (former lightweight title holder)
KO in round 3 of Vivian Harris (ex contender)
Draw (should have been a win, but did drop him twice) Peterson whose only loss is to Timothy Bradley by decision

So prove me wrong or quit talking out of your ass!

Andre Berto's fighting Victor Ortiz? Seriously?

Berto needs a meaningful fight, this is an embarassment.
