Baldomir is an average fighter, no one can deny that. Barely better than David Diaz, we can see that with our own eyes, regardless of his win over Judah.

In fairness to Pac a Morales 2 & 3 were pretty much agreed and he was chasing redemption. Still Morales wasn't the best at that stage. But then he pissed away his next couple of fights and loses to JMM on any sane person's card

After the JMM rematch I suppose he was due a C Class opponent, pity DLH's big head and big money had to mess up Pac at 135 and the JMM rubber :fire

Mayweather was offered a 3 fight extension deal with Arum in 2006 to face Margarito for $8m guaranteed and guaranteed sums of $7m and $6m to face Cotto and Hatton respectively. Arum didn't want FMJ-Cotto anywhere near each other at 140 and that was talked about at the time, he was pulling a Gamboa-Lopez and both went tits up

After Judah lost to Baldomir both Hatton and Margarito were offered Mayweather's April date, both declined, Hatton wasn't happy with the offer (his father is quoted as saying they were offered 7 fights in total). Margarito had a February fight with Golden Johnson who he ended up dispatching in a round. Arum when offering Mayweather a new contract is quoted as saying the DLH fight was unrealistic to make around 2006 when this offer was on the table. The DLH fight netted Mayweather between $20-$30m

TBF Mayweather isn't really up for taking on the challenges he could pull off anymore, the big money fights have spoiled him, if he was around in the 80s and needed to take on the best to get well paid he probably would. BUT since he was at 130 he was gunning for Mosley and Delahoya. Mosley turned the Mayweather fight down in 2000 and 2006

I don't see that, Pacquaio has bigger names but he generally caught them at the right time, he wasn't considered in Floyd's class until he fought a few FMJ left overs

Well due credit to Baldomir, he dethroned the man before him and won the real WW title. Brian Kenny was complaining to Floyd he wasn't facing lineal champions, blame him Then again I don't even think Floyd knows what that means, remember that interview when he argued with the fan who gave him the compliment 'your fighting for the linear title' Floyd answered 'no I'm not I'm fighting for the WBC title, I know boxing you don't'

I think you have trouble understanding what 'flattering to deceive' means. Pacquiao has been doing anything but that in his performances, if him and Roach sat there and planned them out they couldn't go much better.

They've been fighting the best fighters, period. You can go on about certain facets surrounding every single fight thats ever been made. Weight, previous fights, whatever you want. But at the end of the day he's pretty much clearing out welterweight except for Floyd who clearly does not want to fight. Thats all I or anybody else can ask of him. And he has fought 3 ATG's to Floyd's 1, thats hardly even debatable so I find it remiss to be criticizing him for the context of those fights when Floyd hasn't even been stepping in the ring with that calibre and when he has the chance to do so here is wriggling out of it.
