Toontoon, it's hardly double standards, Pac has done a lot more and take these fights. It's those kinda' opponents that form the basis of Floyds resume. That's why he gets pulled up on them, because there is such little substance. Even though I will always pull Pac up on his choice of Mosley as an opponent, I can say 'Sakasul, Barrera, Morales, Hatton, Cotto' yeah that's a pretty good resume. When you look at an uninspring choice by Floyd it's 'why didn't he fight him instead?' There wouldn't be much better options for Pac of the fight with Floyd can't be made, at the time for Floyd he could've taken on a much more intriguing match-ups. With Floyd it's always 'he's having a warm up' nowadays. Fighting a few times a year against decent opposition, is much better than fighting once every few years against decent opposition. Not double standards, but differing circumstances :good
Absolutely. While Pacquiao gets excuses made for him for fighting a lightweight at 147, a catchweight fight for vacant titles against someone that got blown away, banned for 12 months and looked average in his comeback fight and then against a 39 year old that looks shot to bits and hasn't won in 2 years Mayweather's options are either Pacquiao or moving up 2 divisions to fight Martinez. Anyone else is unacceptable.
Is what in Japan? If you're referring to the destination of our trip, it'd be cheap partyville, Thailand, the home of Khaokor Galaxy and his Brother :good
And surely no one able to genuinely assess the contrasting resumes between either man takes any notice of 'vacant titles' (or any belts for that matter) Is Harry Grebs win over Mickey Walker diminished because Walker, the Welterweight champ, weighed in at 154 whilst Greb, te middleweight champ was 160 and used to fighting at 168lbs?!? Catchweight fights are common in most ATGs careers, only difference being now is that they get contested for bogus 'championship belts' :good
Its double standard when you give Pacquiao credit for fighting Marquez as the weight on the night won't be more than 5lbs and slating Mayweather as the wegith difference was 10lbs....when it was in fact around 5lbs.
I agree. But as I've said earlier, all championship lineage is 'assumed'. Pac & Floyd need to fight to determine the true no.1 in the division....but only one mans legacy will really suffer if the fight don't happen.
With Flord "retired" Pacquiao will be champion if he beats Mosley in my opinion. He hasn't done that yet. Pacquiao has cherry picked since the 2nd Marquez fight. I don't think you can deny it.
Berto may have just been a belt holder but the Berto fight would have been better and more anticipated the the Mosley fight in my opinion.
 Pacquiao vs Marquez is an intriguing stylistic matchup, Marquez vs Mayweather wasn't. Mayweather was clearly more than 5lbs heavier than Marquez on the night, I don't see how this can be denied. Because styles make fights a 3rd Pacquiao vs Marquez fight would make interesting viewing. Splitting hairs, yet again. Pacquiao has all but cleared out the division in a year. Go figure. Because Mayweather said it, it must be true..... either way he was 150lbs at the weigh in and would obviously be at least that on the night. :thumbsup Pacquiao can retire without this fight in the knowledge that he fought everyone else and was highly successful. Mayweather can't, but his fans don't really see that.
Hatton and Cotto with the help of hindsight didnt look like hard matches, but in the build up to them it was real interesting. its not pacs fault he makes people look average by beating the **** outa them
Theres nothing clear when it comes to weight. Look at Juan Urango and Frankie Gavin both weigh in at 140lbs if you look at them you would think Urango is 170. You said it yourself. Pacquiao has all but cleared the division but he has never beat the No1. or No.2 fighter. I stand corrected. he was 148lbs. Still Mayweather does not go more then 3-4lbs up in weight he wont even be 154 right now. At Welterweight he never faced the Champion or No.1 fighter. Mayweather has. Thats a fact.
