I know it isn't a fight that will determine the next LHW champion. But neither fighter really wants to retire, and it would be good to keep them active because it takes a long time to make MMA names that are recognizable worldwide.

    Positive.

Before March 5th, 1999 no one really watched the UFC, my brother who trained BJJ in Brazil sent me videos. What I realised that after the lions den V Ortiz feud people started to watch the UFC. After that the UFC branded Tito and he was the face of the UFC for many years.

Rampage was one of the most popular fighters in Japan, he's a former pride and UFC LHW champion and a famous movie star , he is powerful entertaining and you know there will be stand up / chance of KO.

    Negative.

This fight would cost +$1 million to make.

It makes some sense, and would bring out the best in the two.

    All for it:thumbsup

I would hate for this to be on a PPV, if it ever happened. Maybe on a Fox show.

Didn't know they were buddies. Nevertheless, I don't want to see them continue. If they insist on fighting then it would be great if they could continue in SF but neither have the mentality to accept that. This is just an opinion though and a little bit of GnP or a massive ko later and its a different story.

Rampage is fighting Shogun....Ortiz is gonna fight Griffin I think. These two are good friends and won't fight each other. There is no reason for it.

Sure, why not. I'd rather see this than Forrest/Tito III. What an uninspired match.

The only thing that would be relevantly competitive about this match up is which injury excuse the loser trots out

Time to retire guys, let the young guys like Gustafsson shine

Both are past prime but i still give rampage the edge. I see him winning this fight via TKO. Ortiz stand up is **** and he'll have a hard time taking rampage down or keeping him down.
