Ortiz versus cotto at 147

Cotto is damaged goods. He boxed on the outside to stay safe against an old Mayorga and was content in doing so.

Ortiz would break him again I mean you can't break whats broke. It sucks that Cotto had to lose against the cheater MARGO that ruined him... Life sometimes ain't fair cotto was a beast.. not so much anymore.

Ortiz is just as big as Mayorga... has more skills. PLUS seeing a possessed Southpaw coming at him will ignite passed memories it will get in his mind and lead him to get KO'ed.

in a sense yes, look at what he has come back from, only to move up in weight 7 more pounds and get floored the way he did against berto who I think is a much bigger puncher, the kid made a choice this time around and he deserves all of the credit in the world for it.... not many would or could have come off the deck like he did in that fight and fight on to win....

 

I'd take it further & say Ortiz @154lbs against Cotto...
Alot if wear on Cotto by the time this fight would come along.

I'd pick Ortiz.

 

Cotto is not even half the fighter he once was. He is very slow and can't throw more than 2 punches at a time. Sad but true.

 

Cotto is a big puncher himself and has improved since he went with steward. He'll probably fight smart like he did against mayorga and avoid a slugfest. Cotto is a knockout puncher last time i check. Cotto wins by TKO

 

The weight drain was killing Ortiz... Even ROACH AND PAC told him this. It is in his best interest to move up... but he never did and sacrificed himself to make weight and limiting his physical strengths. Now the first time he does... He becomes the WW champ is agressive, assertive, and a montster.

Ortiz is a great fighter he always was, except his heart was questioned who knew it was the weight drain that affected him the most.

Cotto's a better, more experienced fighter ,he wins.

 

I'll reluctantly go with Cotto. Too early to jump on the Ortiz express.

 

It is in his best interest to put on a high pedestal a passed PACQUIAO opponent to try and make PAC Look better. It is not a fan comment but for PAC to look better... by saying COTTO will KO this kid easily.

Same way they say MARGO would, and SHANE... just to make PAC seem greater.
